Fr. Manuel Belarmino: A "Providential" Visit
Fr. Manuel Belarmino, Opus Dei, is the chaplain of the Sarangani Study Center in the Philippines. He recently visited the Meritage through Clergy Hospitality in mid-May as part of his trip to the United States.
The Clergy Hospitality program offers exceptional hospitality for Catholic priests by providing them with a complimentary room in one of our two luxury hotels: The Meritage Resort and Spa in the Napa Valley and Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara. Visiting priests celebrate mass every day that they visit and enjoy free meals at the Employee Restaurant as well as a 30% discount for on-site dining and a peaceful environment for spiritual renewal.
Fr. Manuel wrote to us after his visit with great thanks for facilitating his stay:
“Having the opportunity to rest and above all be able to celebrate Mass for the 59th Anniversary of my parents in your lovely chapel, Our Lady of Grapes, was enough to leave profound impressions of joy and peace in me, my parents and my siblings. The excellent service of the personnel and the general cleanliness of the resort made our stay unforgettable…It’s Divine Providence which sustains all that exists in the world. What else could explain the surprise email I received from you, through the internet ePriest group bulletin just a few days before my trip to the US, but Divine Providence?…the invitation from your group was indeed timely, or I must say, providential.”
